Terms of Use

1. Using the app

You need an iPhone and an Apple ID. Children under 13 should not use La Tutora without a parent or guardian.

2. What La Tutora is

An AI Spanish tutor for practice by voice and text. The tutor is an AI. It can be wrong, say unexpected things, or misjudge your Spanish. It is not a licensed teacher, and it does not give medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice. It cannot call for help. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.

3. Your account

You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for your device and Apple ID. You can delete your account any time in the app (Account → Delete account). That erases your learning data (see the Privacy Policy) and cannot be undone.

4. AI processing

Lessons need your voice and typed messages to be sent to Google's Gemini AI. If you don't agree, or withdraw, AI lessons stop working. See the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Tutor Time, subscriptions, and purchases

• New accounts get a one-time intro allowance of Tutor Time of 5 minutes.
• La Tutora Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual, that includes Tutor Time each month (currently 180 minutes). You can also buy extra Tutor Time packs (currently 60 and 180 minutes).
• Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Apple handles refunds under its own policy. Free-trial terms, if offered, are shown at purchase.
• A single voice lesson lasts at most 10 minutes . Tutor Time used is measured on our servers.
• Deleting your La Tutora account does not cancel a subscription.
• Monthly subscription Tutor Time does not carry over to the next month. Intro time and purchased packs do not expire.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, bypass limits or safeguards, get around Tutor Time, or use it to break the law or harm others.

7. Ownership

La Tutora and its software and content belong to us or our licensors. You keep what you say and write; you let us process it as needed to run the service as described in the Privacy Policy. If you send feedback, we may use it freely.

8. Changes and ending

We may change or stop features, and may suspend accounts that break these terms. We will update these terms with a new date, and tell you in the app for material changes.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, La Tutora is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law where you live.

10. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to support the app. Apple's standard end-user license agreement also applies to the app; if it conflicts with these terms, Apple's standard terms control for the app itself.
